Well, I have officially arrived in Ottawa as of 4:10pm today! I arrived safely at my new home and had a bit of a tour around the city with my renter. I also did some grocery shopping, not much, but just enough to get me through the next couple days. I've been dreaming about this day for so long, but I really hadn't anticipated how hard it was going to be to say goodbye to my family and my boyfriend. I'm feeling rather homesick at the moment. For the first time since this all came about, I feel as if 8 months is a really long time. I know that in the whole scheme of things it's really not, and I've been telling Dustin that for months, but saying goodbye was really hard. This first day has turned out rather lonely.
I do want to take a moment though to just say that I have the best boyfriend. He surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my last day of work on Tuesday.
and one of my lovely co-workers gave me a lovely gift as well.
I was ridiculously spoiled. To everyone at work, I loved working with all of you and to everyone who came out to the pub night, thanks! It was really wonderful, and it was a great send off.
Anyway, it's late here and I've barely had any sleep the last 24 hours. I'll chat again soon.

I know how hard yesterday was for you, I witnessed some of it, You are a strong woman and this experience will only make you stronger. I can't wait to meet the woman who walks off the plane on Dec 22!
